One must be fit as a Miura Bull...to get close to a rock cliff dweller Dyckia in nature.

This is a Dyckia habitat, that rocky vertical slope.
You may see them attached tto the rocks evem by great distance.
The river is Rio Itajaí-açu. The place is Morro Pelado in the hearts of Santa Catarina
Southern in Brazil.
See the pinus plantation going on the mountain.
This is the view my mother was used to when a child
She was born in  August,27Th 1912.
I grew listening to the stories she told about this region Barra do Cocho.
Barra do Cocho is where the photografer is  at the moment of thsis pictures.

Below you see Dyckias.
The species is an undescribed one and it is huge.
Looks like a Dyckia encholirioides.

Here one can also notice why a Dyckia raider may have the physique of a Spanish Bull.
