Dyckia marnier-lapostollei from Minas Gerais

Contrary to some sayings this plant is native to North Minas Gerais and it is also a mountain dweller. It is one more Dyckia marnier-lapostollei variety with some peculiarities of its own.

Its leaves are the most succulent in all Dyckia known species. This makes this variety one of the most beautiful ones and extremely desirable in any collection. eanwhile this plant seems not to present anywhere abroad.

Its flower stalk is short ( Others marnier-lapostollei components have very long flower stalks.) and the flowers
that are orange open fully. Another curiosity in relation with the others Dyckia marnier-lapostollei is the fact that this plant is self fertile. It does not need another same variety plant to produce viable true seeds.
