Dyckia stolonifera, a small rarity fromMato Grosso do Sul

Dyckia stolonifera
..and it really is stolonifererous as it reproduces like mad..a single plant can emit more than
fifty new plantlets in a year!
Meanwhile the species is almost vanished from wilderness due to a new road construction.
It need winters to develop and will die for sure if  maintained under continuous Summer climates.
Mato Grosso do Sul can be well cold in winter notably on its most elevated areas where frosts are common place during winter.

This flowers stem has just buds and no flower yet.
These flowers stems are unique and distinguishes the species from all others.
