Dyckia reitzii rubra damaged by ice cold weather in Brazil

Yes we have cold , frosts and snow too.
South up in the mountains and uphill we can freeze!
Dyckia reitzii is cold resistant but not that much.
Sometimes the temperature can drop to the amazing -15 Centrigrade and this is cold!
Dyckia reitzii just thrives in nature where frosts occur. The plant need some cold to be happy but not the one  polar bear would fell fine.

The grass protects the plant from the even colder winds.
