Dyckia alba

Dyckia alba
Blooms by the very first time in my garden.
This is a very special blooming as the plant is extremely rare and under the eminent risk of
extinction. The flower apparatus will present some intriguing novelties as the cotton like structure
after which the plant is named.
Notice the strong stem and the surprisingly beautiful and conspicuous rose bractea.
We will follow this blooming.
I decided not to show this plant during our Dyckia show as the flower would be damaged.
I also intend to make sone hybrids and of course some self too.
