Dyckia alba, a rarity from Pedra do Segredo - Caçapava do Sul - RS
The name alba comes from the white dust on the flower stalk and unopened flowers.
Flowers are scented.

Dyckia reitzii rubra from Campo dos Padres-SC
Raulino Reitz described this plant as producing yellow flowers.
Campo dos Padres is a high plato in Santa Catarina-Brazil. It comprehends parts of Urubici, Bom Retiro, Anitápolis and Alfredo Wagner municipalities. It is a very cold area, during the winter and temperatures may drop to -10 degrees Centigrades.
Dyckias are found amid tall grasses
It is the very first time this plant brought as a seed blooms here in my garden.

Wow...and it was happy. Dyckia delicata X Dyckia encholirioides
Here replanted in a larger ceramic pot
I replant it not vertically. It is a little bit crooked.
This quite important in order not to gather water amid it leaf axils.
I wonder the happier it is going to be in a roomy pot.
I was happy because the tiny pot was inserted amid big stones so the plant had enough humidity.
The plant is about blooming and some fungi are already there. Ventilation is crucial too to the health of the plant..

Dyckia pampeana, the smallest Dyckia species
