This is another primary hybrid. It is young but already showy.

Dyckia delicata var. Tomba Bodes X Dyckia encholirioides var. spinosissima.

Spines are getting bigger and the plant is getting colorful I wished it to stay green.
Shinning green, no scales plants are beautiful.

Dyckia brevifolia always makes fine hybrids

The typical Dyckia under leaf lines are well preserved.
Leaves are very well waxed so this plant shines.
This is a primary hybrid , made with two species plants.

Fine shaped and deep-colored, a sight to behold.
This is really a bright shining star.

Dyckia brevifolia var. Golden Glow

Self-pollinated seeds result in a 100%  free of chloroplasts seedlings (total alba seedlings). They die after consuming the seed energy reserve as they can´t get energy by themselves.

...but the flowers do accept alien pollen and produce fantastic plants as well the flowers can pollinate alien flowers with success.

Juliano perozzo is the wall climber here
A wonderful picture taken by southern vertical wall climbers from Caxias do Sul-RS .
Thanks to Lise Severo and  Juliano Perozzo. Here this granitic wall shows some beautiful Dyckias. Notice their sizes comparing with the climber.

Here you can watch the climber getting close to the old Dyckia nigripinis  in Vila Cristina Wall.
This is north in the southernmost Brazilian State, Rio Grande do Sul.
Thanks to Juliano Perozzo

Dyckia encholirioides var. spinosissima X Dyckia delicata

Red, white and variegated plants are so sought after that the green ones are rare. ...and they
are gorgeous. Long numerous soft golden thorns on light green foliage turn this
seedling into a spectacular promise.
