Some Dyckia fosteriana get this beautiful when thirsty

Not all fosterianas get red no matter how thirsty they get and all the red ones need to be revealed, unveiled.

Water is the developer here, it reveals the red by wetting the white scales.

I always love the fosteriana crown, they are great looking.
