From center Brazil this might be a natural hybrid

Its flowers are very hard to be self-fertilized just a few seeds are produced but
it takes allien pollen as well as it is capable of fertilizing other
species and hybrids.

Scientists say they didn´t find two equals in nature, each plant is an only one.
This sort of report and the problematic fertilization indicates this to be a hybrid
no matter the parent plants are not to be seen around anymore.
They may be extinguished hundreds of years before now.
Many many plants described as species may be hybrids that parents are not known.
Dyckias are colonizers and their role is to bring the forest to the hostile areas.
Once their job is done they die in the shadows.
