Dyckia discoides

Dyckia discoides
Native to Santa Catarina southwest uphills. Rare anywhere!
Dyckias! We have just begun to discover them. They are more than once we supposed them to be.
this plant is under the process of description and also  the affinis of it Dyckia magnifica. We still do not know who is who but what we know is enough to gasp , open mouth and drool...discoides is  much smaller than magnifica. This discoides we see here is emitting flower stalk, you can see it here among the leaves.

Notice the two opposing flat discs.
