Dyckia goehringii
Notice these sprouts here. The plant does something almost unique among  Dyckias.
The plant emits sprouts that remembers stolons. This is an effort to send the new plants away from the mother plant to assure  they will not interfere with the light catching and nutrients.
The plant can make huge a nice looking agglomerates.
This behavior is always transmitted to its hybrids.
Dyckia goehring is an extremely rare Brazilian plant and it is all covered with a very very fine dust like whitish scale layer. some times this talc like layer is so intense one have to see it twice to believe the eyes.
A stunning good looking plant.
I never saw any true Goehring outside Brazil, no matter in particular collections or Botanic Gardens.
What we see are fakes that do not compares to the true thing.
We see many pretenders and many willing to be and some are really beautiful but not goehringii.
Look at this here above and take your conclusions...
