No, this is not a Dyckia brevifolia!
This is anew found reofitic species from the High Itajaí-açu River Valley.
I was born close by in Rio do Sul - Santa Catarina in August 1954.
This is a very very interesting plant as it keeps  many of the brevifolia characteristics and some  of the distachya too. Notice the way it reproduces by stoloms....
This is a plant I would love to describe as I found it myself  in Albertina by the Albertina creek, and affluent of Rio Itajaí do Sul. Itajaí do Sul and Itajaí do Norte rivers meet downtown Rio do Sul to make the mighty Itajaí-açu River.
This well may be Dyckia constantinoi....but I think a better name  will be found.
