Dyckia marnier-lapostollei are found around central Brazil area.
They can be found close to our capital Brasília too.
They are never found in large populations but small groups.
They present a tremendous variation in nature and many are still to be seen.
They need fresh nights and dry air as they are prune to fungi attacks.
The plant above is found in Bahia and the bellow one is found
in goia´s and most probably is a marnier lapostollei affinis species.
Dyckia marnier-lapostollei was already found in south west Bahia, Goiás, Northwest Minas Gerais
and maybe it will be seen in east Mato Grosso.
This plant is not restricted to a small area.
Maybe we shall find many new affinis species or new marnier-lapostollei varieties.
Dyckias are still needing a comprehensive study and field research.
Some populations present striking beautiful plants.
